Where do you provide services?
Our services, including meetings, are offered through phone and video conferencing, 101 Advocacy is able to serve families across the state of Texas—bringing experienced advocacy directly to you, wherever you are.
Why should I hire an educational advocate?
Families seek the support of an educational advocate for many reasons. Some are satisfied with their child's educational program but want a knowledgeable partner to help them prepare for meetings, understand recommendations, and navigate the special education or Section 504 process with confidence. Others seek an advocate because they have concerns about their child's services, supports, or educational progress. Families of newly diagnosed children often turn to an advocate to better understand their rights and the special education system.
We help families understand research-based best practices, interpret evaluations and school recommendations, and make informed decisions about their child's educational program. Our advocates have extensive experience working within public schools and possess in-depth knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations.

Navigating disability benefits and community resources can be overwhelming. Many families seek the support of a benefit and resource advocate because they are unsure which programs their loved one may qualify for, where to begin, or how to coordinate the many services available. Others simply want a trusted guide to help them understand their options and make informed decisions.
We help families navigate disability benefits, healthcare systems, and community resources with greater confidence. We provide guidance on programs such as SSI, Medicaid, Medicaid Waivers, Medicare, private insurance, respite services, and other available supports. We also help families understand eligibility requirements, organize information, connect with trusted resources, and plan for future needs.
Our goal is to simplify complex systems, reduce the stress of navigating them alone, and empower families with the knowledge and resources they need to access the services and supports that can improve their loved one's quality of life.
Can you help me apply for disability benefits?
Yes. We guide families through the application process by helping them understand eligibility requirements, organize documentation, prepare for next steps, and identify helpful resources. While we do not provide legal advice, complete applications on your behalf, or guarantee eligibility for government benefits, we provide knowledgeable guidance and support throughout the process.
Do you provide legal services?
No. 101 Advocacy is not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice or legal representation.
Instead, we provide knowledgeable advocacy, education, and personalized guidance to help families navigate special education, disability benefits, and community resources. We help families understand their rights, evaluate their options, prepare for important meetings and decisions, review records and evaluations, communicate effectively with schools and service providers, and connect with valuable resources.
Our goal is to empower families with the knowledge and confidence they need to make informed decisions and successfully navigate complex systems.
How much does advocacy cost?
Our advocacy services are billed at $100 per hour. This includes time spent preparing for meetings, reviewing records and evaluations, communicating with schools or providers, attending meetings, and providing follow-up support.
We are committed to using our time efficiently and will discuss the anticipated scope of services with you before we begin.
Do you offer financial assistance?
We believe every family deserves access to knowledgeable advocacy and support, regardless of financial circumstances. If the cost of services is a concern, please let us know. We are happy to discuss a payment plan whenever possible.
